Dr Peter Chang  张书咏医生 completed his undergraduate studies at University of Chicago and received his medical degree from the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine in 2004. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency from Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco and received his American Board of Internal Medicine certification in 2007.

 

Prior to coming to Singapore, Dr. Chang was working as a hospital-based medical specialist in Kaiser Permanente Medical Center and working as a basic science researcher on immunotherapy in University of California San Francisco. After coming to Singapore with family, he went on to complete cardiologist specialist training in National University Hospital of Singapore and was awarded the Academic Medicine Development Award in 2013 for further training in the prestigious Vascular Medicine fellowship in Stanford University. Additional fellowships Dr. Chang completed include an endovascular fellowship at National Taiwan University Hospital and National University Hospital Singapore. He became American Board Certified in Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Medicine in 2016.

 

Dr. Chang practiced cardiology for more than 15 years diagnosing and treating a wide range of cardiovascular disorders such as hypertension, lipid disorder, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease and cardiac arrythmia. He is passionate about disease affecting blood vessels and has extensive experience in endovascular interventions for arteries and veins. Recognized for his contributions to research and clinical medicine, he was accepted as Fellow to the American College of Cardiology and serves as faculty to in the annual ACC meeting. 

 

He currently serves as a senior consultant in a national tertiary hospital in Singapore where he is the director of vascular medicine service and vascular ultrasound imaging center.
