Pelvic Congestion Syndrome — or PCS — occurs when the veins deep within the pelvis become enlarged and dysfunctional, much like varicose veins, but hidden entirely from view. The result is a persistent, often debilitating ache that worsens with prolonged standing, during or after intimacy, and around menstruation.
Because PCS is invisible on standard examinations and widely misunderstood among healthcare providers, many women go years without a correct diagnosis — some are told their pain is psychological. It is not. PCS is a real, vascular condition with elegant, lasting solutions.

A blood clot forming within the deep veins — most often in the leg — is known as deep venous thrombosis, or DVT. While it can be silent, DVT carries real risk: a clot that travels to the lungs becomes a pulmonary embolism, a potentially life-threatening emergency.
